Dr. Alan Price

Senior Pastor

Dr. Price answered the church's call to become the church's Senior Pastor in December of 2006. Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, Alan also spent parts of his childhood in New Jersey and South Carolina. He received a Bachelor in Business Administration with a major in Accounting from the University of Georgia. After graduating in 1988, he attended Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary where he received a Masters of Divinity degree in 1992. While attending seminary, he met his future wife, Tracy, and they were married on July 16, 1994. God has blessed their family with two children, Lauren and Jacob.

Alan was ordained at Bellevue Baptist Church in Memphis, Tennessee, in May 1996. He has since completed a Doctorate in Expository Preaching at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky, where he graduated in May of 2003. He previously served as pastor of First Baptist Church Chatsworth, Georgia, from July of 2001 through December 2006. Prior to going to First Baptist, he served as pastor at Union Baptist Church in York, South Carolina for five years
