Martha’s Ministry

Martha’s Ministry is a ministry of the church that provides a meal to the family of a church member upon their death.

The volunteers will prepare and deliver to the home a complete meal for the family and guests of the deceased church member either before the funeral visitation or prior to or after the graveside service.

Volunteers will assist by making a side dish or dessert and possibly help deliver the meal. If you would like to volunteer with this ministry please call Marla Jellicorse in the church office at 865-922-2322.

You will be blessed by serving in this ministry as we reach out in love and compassion to those in our church family who are hurting.

Lord, give me sensitivity to people in their grief and pain, to weep with them and show your love in ways that mere words cannot attain.
